FSG Learn Credits

If you’ve had Fund Social Good credits added to your account by our team, via a refund, or through a gift and promotional code you’ve redeemed, then they will be automatically applied to your next course purchase at learn.fundsocialgood.org. The credits can be used towards purchasing any Fund Social Good course!

Below are some of the frequently asked questions we receive regarding Fund Social Good credits.

What are Fund Social Good credits?

Fund Social Good Credits are a balance that is automatically counted towards your next course purchase, even though the credits have no cash value. So, for example, if you’ve had R5 of credits added to your account by our team, and the next course you decide to purchase is listed at R30, then you will only be charged R25.

How are credits used?

Fund Social Good credits in your account will be automatically applied to your next course purchase. So, when you select a course and proceed to the payment page, you will see the total credits that have been applied to the purchase. In addition, if you have any credits left in your account,  the remaining total will also be posted. 

Please note that Fund Social Good credits can only be applied on purchases that take place at learn.fundsocialgood.org, and not on the Android or iOS Fund Social Good mobile app.

How long do I have to use my credits?

You can confirm the expiration date of your credits by looking at your Credit History page.

I received a gift or promotional code for Fund Social Good credits. How do I redeem them?

If you have received an email for a gift or a promotional code, click on the redemption link in the email to redeem your credits. Once you have redeemed the code, the credits will be added to your account.

What if I lose my gift or promotional code for Fund Social Good credits?

If you lose your gift or promotional code, please contact customer support for the retailer where the code was purchased. Since the initial transaction did not occur on the Fund Social Good platform,  we do not have access to the necessary information and cannot offer additional assistance.

What happens if I refund a course that had Fund Social Good credits applied to the purchase?

If you are granted a refund for a course purchase, which used Fund Social Good credits towards it, the credits that were applied to the initial purchase will be returned to your Fund Social Good account. Please note that Fund Social Good’s standard refund policy applies.

Why is there an option to choose Fund Social Good Credits for my refund instead of my original payment method?

If your transaction is eligible for a refund to your original payment method, you can choose to receive that refund in the form of Fund Social Good Credits instead. The credits will be added to your account immediately after your refund is processed so that you can use them towards your next purchase.

 

With refunds to your original payment method, it may take 5 to 10 business days before the funds are posted to your bank account, or longer, depending on your financial institution and location.

I selected Fund Social Good Credits for my refund but I’ve changed my mind. Can I have the refund sent to my original payment method instead? 

No. Once Fund Social Good Credits are selected as the refund method and the transaction is processed, the refund cannot be reversed in our system and sent to your original payment method instead. Fund Social Good Credits are added to your account immediately after the refund is processed.

Can I request a cash refund for a gift or promotional code before it’s redeemed for Fund Social Good credits?

If you have purchased a gift or promotional code from a third-party vendor, you will need to contact that vendor directly, for information regarding the company’s refund policies. 

If I purchase a course as a gift will my credits be applied?

Yes. Fund Social Good credits in your account will also be automatically applied to a course you purchase as a gift. 

Can I use my credits on the mobile app?

No. Fund Social Good credits can only be applied to purchases that take place at Fund Social Good.com, and not on the Android or iOS Fund Social Good mobile app. 

How can I check my account’s credits?

You can check your account’s credit total, and review your credit history, by navigating to your Fund Social Good credits page. You can access the page by moving your cursor to your initials or profile image at the top right hand, and then by clicking on Fund Social Good credits in the dropdown menu.

In your account’s credit history you can review when and how many Fund Social Good credits were added to your account, the status of the credits (for example: whether they were used towards a course purchase), and their expiration date. 

Please note that your credit history page is only accessible at Fund Social Good.com, and not through the Android or iOS Fund Social Good mobile app.

Can I request to have my credits put on hold? Or select credits with a specific expiration date to be applied to my next course purchase? 

No. Fund Social Good.com is set up to automatically apply Fund Social Good credits to your next course purchase, regardless of the expiration date, until all your account credits have been used.

Promotional codes

Can I redeem more than one promotional code for credits? 

Generally speaking, promotional code campaigns are limited to one code per person. Additionally, if you qualify to receive more than one promotional code as part of separate campaigns, only one promotional code can be redeemed for credits, until you have applied that first set of credits towards a course purchase (or until the first set of promotional credits expire).

I received an additional promotional amount with my gift code. How does this work? 

Fund Social Good or our partners may run certain campaigns, during which you may receive a promotional amount with the purchase of a gift code in a single code. The gift code amount is equal to the amount paid to purchase the code. The promotional amount is the additional unpaid value that you may receive in Fund Social Good Credits on top of the gift code amount, as detailed in the campaign. 

When you redeem the single code, the gift code amount will be applied to your account as Fund Social Good Credits that never expire. The promotional amount will be applied to your account as Fund Social Good Credits that have an expiration date (except where prohibited by law). The promotional amount must be redeemed for Fund Social Good Credits and applied to course purchases before they expire. The expiration date of the promotional amount can be found on the code’s redemption page or by clicking here.
